Muse & Mingle – Terms & Conditions
Overview
Welcome to Muse & Mingle! By booking our services, purchasing our products, or engaging with us in any way, you agree to the following terms and conditions. We recommend reading them carefully before confirming your order or project.
Quotes & Pricing
All quotes are valid for 30 days from the issue date unless stated otherwise. Prices are in AUD and are subject to change without notice unless locked in via a signed agreement or deposit payment. Custom design projects or hire items may incur additional fees depending on scope, materials, or complexity. Initial Design Fee: If artwork or design concepts are created but the client chooses not to proceed with the order, an initial design fee of $120 will be charged to cover the work completed.
Booking & Payment
A 50% deposit is required to confirm all bookings or custom work. No work will commence until this is received. The remaining balance is due 30 days after your initial deposit. Payment can be made via bank transfer or any method agreed upon in writing.
Cancellations & Refunds
If you cancel more than 30 days before your event, your deposit is refundable minus a $120 admin/design fee. If cancelled less than 30 days before the event, the deposit is non-refundable. If the project has already begun (design, printing, materials purchased), additional fees may apply. In the rare event that we need to cancel (due to unforeseen circumstances), you’ll receive a full refund.
Changes & Revisions
Two rounds of design revisions are included unless otherwise stated. Additional changes will be quoted at an hourly design rate. Any changes to the agreed scope, dates, or design after sign-off may result in delays or additional charges.
Hire Items (Backdrops, Signage, Props)
Hire periods are for 24–72 hours unless otherwise agreed. Items must be returned in the condition they were provided. Damaged or missing items may incur repair or replacement fees. Delivery, setup, and pickup costs will be quoted separately if required. After-Hours Collection: If the client requests collection of hire items outside of standard business hours, additional after-hours fees will apply. A security bond may be requested for certain hires. Client Self Pick-Up: Clients may choose to collect their hire items in person. By selecting self pick-up, the client assumes full responsibility for the items upon collection, including checking for accuracy and any damages.
Shipping & Postage
We offer both standard and express postage for all items within Australia. Standard Postage is typically delivered within 3–7 business days, with fees starting at AUD $10 for small/lightweight items. Express Postage is typically delivered within 1–2 business days, with fees starting at AUD $14 for small/lightweight items. All postage fees are based on Australia Post rates and may vary depending on weight, size, packaging, and destination. Any additional costs incurred (e.g., for remote locations, oversized parcels, or special packaging) will be passed on to the client. Clients may choose to collect items in person (see Client Self Pick-Up clause). Postage fees are payable at the time of order unless otherwise agreed.
Design & Intellectual Property
We retain copyright on all original designs unless otherwise agreed in writing. You may not reproduce or alter our designs without permission. We reserve the right to showcase completed work (e.g., photos, videos) on our website and social media unless otherwise agreed.
Client Responsibility
Please ensure all details provided (names, dates, logos, colours) are correct at the time of booking. We are not responsible for errors once designs have been approved. You must have permission to use any third-party content (e.g., brand logos or images) provided to us.
Event Day Logistics
We’ll work with you or your planner to confirm bump-in/out times, setup locations, and access. Delays caused by venue restrictions or lack of access may impact the final outcome.
Limitation of Liability
Muse & Mingle is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our services or hire items. We take all reasonable care, but are not liable for damage caused by weather, misuse, or mishandling of items once delivered, installed, or collected.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for any delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, illness, pandemics, government restrictions).
Agreement
